Empowering ambitions Transforming futures

A network where impact is multiplied and opportunity is paid forward

3

groups interacting in one impact chain

1

platform built to multiply opportunity

Free tuition for
high school students
1-to-1 career access
for university students
High-leverage giving
for professionals

the social impact chain

Three groups, one cycle of opportunity

We reduce the financial barrier to academic tuition in high school and the class barrier to accessing meaningful professional networks in top-tier industries at university

1

High school students

Receive free tutoring and uni application support, delivered by university students, all academic year

2

University students

Gain credits that unlock
1-2-1 calls with professionals they choose

3

Professionals

Donate short calls to university students. Scalable, time-efficient giving with downstream impact

how it works

One platform, two barriers reduced at once

Online classroom

High-school students book and receive lessons from their assigned university tutor

Credits system

Tutors earn credits for each session taught – redeemable for calls with professionals

Professional network

A database of professionals offering bookable 1-to-1 career calls

Each group gives something meaningful and receives something valuable back in a self-reinforcing chain of impact

Our mission

Opening doors to opportunity

Our goal is to give high school and university students from unprivileged backgrounds access to the academic support and professional networks that shape educational achievement and career success

Resources + Potential
=
Confidence + Achievement

Why it matters

Too many young people are locked out of the support that shapes their future

£30-50 avg. hourly cost of private tuition

Academic support can make a major difference to exam success, but many students cannot afford it

Background determines outcomes more than ability

20% of students from the lowest-income areas reach Russell Group universities vs. 45% from the most advantaged

Networks are unequal

32% less likely to receive an entry-level offer if from a low socioeconomic background
25% longer to progress to mid-level roles compared to wealthier peers

Early momentum

We are building a scalable, community-powered platform

50+

supporters have helped fund the mission

20+

university students are shaping the future of the platform

3

communities connected: schools, universities and professionals

Play a part in shaping a fairer future

Whether you are a student, school, university society, employer or professional, you can give back with trueFutures

OUR story

Why I started trueFutures

I am the first in my family to go to university with no family background in the degree or career I chose. I earned a scholarship from a Russell Group university and worked as a banker and tech investor in London

My journey showed me that tutoring changes academic outcomes and networks change career outcomes

These resources are not equally available to all. I believe in meritocracy but true meritocracy cannot exist if people don’t have access to the same opportunities and resources. This is what trueFutures exists to change
